The stainless steel plaque, which will remain on the lunar surface, measures 18 by 23 cm (seven by nine inches) and will bear the names of the Apollo 16 astronauts, John W. Young, mission Commander; Thomas K. Mattingly II, Command Module Pilot; and Charles M. Duke, Jr., Lunar Module Pilot. |
